The copy of the David in the Piazzale Michelangelo

      

The bronze cast of David facing Florence in Piazzale Michelangelo has casts of four reclining figures, the four allegories in the Medici Chapel of San Lorenzo. It was dragged up to the square on June 25, 1873 by nine pairs of oxen.
